The Centre for Sustainable Technologies at the University of Ulster will perform the techno-economic analysis for the BioMara project
Professor NJ Hewitt Director, Centre for Sustainable Technologies
Professor Neil Hewitt has over 10 years experience in analysing the techno-economic performance of energy systems and analysing impacts of energy policy on future energy system development. The Centre for Sustainable Technologies (CST) of the University of Ulster is responsible for the technical and economic assessment studies in a number of internationally co-ordinated fossil fuel, waste and biomass combustion and conversion projects.
Dr Ye Huang, Centre for Sustainable Technologies
Dr Huang has developed the ECLIPSE computer programs used in technical and economic evaluation of energy conversion processes funded by the EU, the UK Department of Trade and Industry and IEA Greenhouse Gas Programme. He is well regarded in clean coal, biomass/waste, energy and environmental issues and has extensive modelling and practical experience of coal, biomass, waste gasification and gas turbine combined cycles, as well as defining CO2 capture and storage strategies.
