The official launch of the BioMara project in Ireland was held on 17 June 2009 at the Northern Ireland Science Park in Belfast. The launch was followed by a technical stakeholder workshop that outlined the aims and scope of the planned work programme and the opportunities for stakeholders to engage with the project. 

This was followed by lunch and an opportunity to network with attendees.
